“Out of the blue” effect pathos

In the poem “Out of the Blue”, the certain theme of the poem is the pathos of the subject. The introduction of the poem brings the effect of everyday, simple life with no drastic changes or consequences but however the poem starts to unfold and by the time the plane and the towers are noted its obvious that the poem has pathos because your mind instantly  links together the thoughts and relates those thoughts towards the incident of 9/11. So the poem has a certain sound of “dread” as the character is dazzled and confused by the sight he is observing and noting all the things he is seeing and asking himself if he is a soul worth saving so out of everything is happening is he that relevant? However you already know the answer, this implies pathos.

The ideas, as always, in the paragraph are very strong.

The area for development is the way you express these. I suggest using the simple form (at least initially) of “statement, example, explanation” to keep a clear structure and purpose to your writing.

Also, the way you’ve phrased your first sentence talking about the “theme of pathos” is not quite right. I suggest the removal of the word theme and perhaps replace it with the idea of ‘effect’.
