Preliminary paragraph; Introduction

The English language has been described as a rich and fruitful language. There are countless times I have heard this statement whether in a Library or in a school. The reason why this statement is so well known is because the concept is so powerful that it inspires people to pass the word. Althoguh it is not just the English language that is rich and fruitful but its spoken and texted aspects as well. In this essay I will not only convince you that this concept is true but make you think about all the aspects about it.

This is a dramatic improvement, in that you are engaging in a discussion with your reader. This writing has a voice and a sense of originality about it. You’re inviting your reader to take an interest in what you have to say.

I’m not sure that the word ‘fruitful’ is exactly what you’re looking for. You might be thinking of ‘abundant’ – fruitful means that it bears good fruit, which is a metaphor commonly applied to something giving a good rate of return. This might be exactly what you mean, and if so – fine.

Your comment “The reason why this statement is so well known is because the concept is so powerful that it inspires people to pass the word” is probably self-evident, so you might what to leave that out. But that’s me being picky.

Instead of making your reader think, how about inviting them to consider?

These are subtleties, but that’s where you have reached. The level of subtlety. Wonderful.
